I've notice the following and am curious if this is normal or not.

If I accelerate harder than standard from a stop while turning, the power distribution seems to lag then slam hard. I don't mean just an engine lag and slam, it certainly feels like an effect within the power distribution. Seems to be the rear where I feel it. Is this just a normal delay as it adapts to more AWD while under quick initial boost onset and cornering combining to a noticable effect? Or should I get me rear diff looked at?

You say that your *slam* came from the rear, so, I don't know. This kind of thing has happened only once to me, when I pulled out very briskly and turned left out of a parking lot: but I want to say that the thump (it wasn't hard enough to be a slam) came from the front. I've simply adopted a wider turn and less gas until the car is mostly straightened out, before I engage boost.

are you in sport mode when that happens? I have the same thing only in comfort mode. Sport mode lets the car go loose more. In comfort mode, the car dumps all boost and freaks out after I hit a crack in the pavement... lol

Yes, I think maybe in Comfort only, I will pay attention to the mode I'm in in the future.

Maybe thump is a more accurate word than slam. I think that I didn't expect it to do it and that exaggerated my reaction to it

It's the stability control and traction control. Can catch you off guard sometimes.

Nannies seems right. Not a term I was familiar with and had to search but get it now.

Tested again while I had it in custom which was all sport except steering at the time and noticed it.

I turned off the traction control and tested again and it was fine, with maybe a little wheel slip (which is what it was adjusting to avoid).

Thanks all.

My AWD does that often when driving over any street paint while accelerating. For example if my front tires are on the stop line paint and I pull away the car loses traction and sends it to the back which gives a similar effect to what you're describing. I dont really notice it when just quickly pulling away on level unpainted asphalt.
