powdercoat and center caps

Since our stock center caps are plastic, they can't be powder coated. The wheel shop I've been talking to has told me I can get a custom color from here Powder Coating Powder, Colors & Supplies | Prismatic Powders and they'll put it on, but I don't see any way they could match most of those when they paint the plastic cap. I haven't seen anyone paint the center cap a different color than their wheels and I'm thinking it might look a bit tacky (gunmetal wheels with white caps for instance). But I don't know, what do you guys think?

Wouldn’t be that hard for any reputable paint shop to color match the powder coat color.

But the solution is to get black.

Gloss Black is the only acceptable wheel color.

That was my original plan, but I feel that the stock wheels have too many details for just gloss black. If this was just a plain 5 spoke wheel I would be all over the black. I'm thinking a real dark gunmetal would look better and would let some of those details pop a bit.

Im getting my oem summer rims powder coated gloss black. Gonna black out my whole car. I find the factory wheels god awful ugly and the two tone paint doesn't do them any favors.

Had a second set of caps so I thought I'd spray paint a set black on a boring day. They need some clearcoat. Came out fairly nice. No prep, just cleaned with alcholol and 5 very thin coats. Was thinking about powder coating the OEM wheels gloss black, but have decided to wait till the stock tires are finished and get a wider staggered tire setup with new wheels. Possibly these.
