The only car shows around me (within 10 miles) are classic car shows. The only modern cars in those I see are vettes. I’m the weirdo bringing a KDM car to a classic show. I’m treated like I have leprosy.

I have similar experience like you, but I choose to not enter. This past weekend they have a car show at my local University College and every year I usually go and check it out because it had mix of import and domestic. Well this year, I figure it is the time to enter the show and realize that all those who enter are classic car. There was no import or modern car register and I did not feel comfortable to register so I back out, but still have a great time with the family.
