I am not sure to like, it does not look finished. I understand just the new lettering is not a viable retrofit option because of holes but using a flat oval emblem that you just stuck the lettering on top... usually emblems look to be one piece with slight relief but now we even seem to see the glue of the lettering on the oval.

Nice attempt and dedication to this, some may like thought so do not take only my opinion.

I thought they were just prototypes to show the available choices. If they aren't, I agree with you--they do look rough.

You may be right that it is supposed to get an clear acrylic layer on top for the production version to make it look more like one piece and less flat.

In order to close the hood hole, the size of the Kia letter emblem has been increased a little and is being produced as a sample.

The material is aluminum.
KIA letters will be placed on the round separately, not on a flat background.
We will make the KIA letters so that they can protrude a little more.

My thought is that it looks too thick, it just looks out of place in the transition from the car paint to the badge. To be blunt, it is quite obvious it is not OEM.
One thought is to have a beveled lip to give it a smoother visual transition from the car paint to the badge.
Perhaps if you could just taper the edges down that might help as well.
I think if you had the beveled lip and KIA letters in one finish and the other finish to match the car paint, that would look very clean.
