Found a leftover 21 gt2 white / red . Got a great price worked out and angled a few accesories into the deal. 18s w 10-20 k miles are going for low to mid 40k . I’m picking up the 2021 for 48k . Curious what they are going for in other locales? I’ve been creeping around the forums trying to learn everything I can lol. Just sold a 18 Chevy SS sedan and got super lucky on the flip price..this is my replacement ! I’ll be looking for a cat back exhaust system and cold air kit first. If anyone is looking to part with either shoot me a dm! Thanks In advance.

Will do. Thanks!

Solid choice! Congrats and welcome!

How did you like the 2018* Chevy SS btw? Any feedback or comparisons?

* I did not know they made a 2018 one

The Holden equivalent of those Chevy SS sedans are going gang busters over here (Australia) with second hand prices. Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new Stinger.

Howdy and welcome. Performance-wise, I bet you'll hardly see/feel a difference between those two cars. :D

Stinger will beat it the handling department, but in a straight line similar on paper. Technically the Stinger should beat it 0-60, closer by time they reach the 1/4 mile mark.

I had a lot of interest in the SS when they were being discounted/discontinued. Gas mileage always scared me with the V8 (I was racking up a lot of miles each year at the time). Eventually ended up in the Stinger which is only slightly better, but I'm only reaching maybe 15,000 miles now /year. SS was a great sleeper car, and fairly rare. Only ever saw one on the road.

$48k for a 2021 GT2 is a good price, considering the market. Before things went crazy, that would have been good for a '21 AWD GT2.

Nice. I thought hard about one of those SS sedans back when I was shopping for my last fast car. I got the 1LE instead, but much respect for the SS. Wish they offered some of the versions here like they did in Australia. If they did, I would have gotten one for sure.

They didn't, '17 was the final year. I've tried to buy a couple, but both fell through for different reasons.
They're basically a Camaro powertrain put into a luxury/performance sedan if I am understanding correctly? I remember seeing a 2014 Chevy SS sedan with some mods back in early/mid 2015 on a road trip with some friends. The car sounded incredible!

It was the zeta chassis and one of GM (holden)s chassis specifically engineered for performance and stiffness. Both the Camaro and the SS were built on this (excellent) chassis. Very neutral and understated. Not the lightest ever, but if you avoided the auto it kept the weight down. The SS basically picked up where BMW left off with the M5 before they went to auto and turbo everything. The engines had fantastic low end torque and were easy to mod. Holden made several crazy hp level models of the same car, the Holden. The zeta was the precursor to the alpha, what the current camaro and the ats-v are on.

Sorry meant 2016. It was a great car but as a daily driver in Ohio wasn’t the best fit. In a perfect world it would still be in the garage but i don’t have it like that. Lol

That’s a good comparison. Suspension was totally on the sports car end of things. In a perfect world It would still be in the garage but I don’t have it like that lol.
Pics of the new coming. Thanks for props everyone. Glad to be here!

Here as well. My dad is a retired gm employee. I think w the discount I was at about 43k new. Got 46k on trade. I see them on autotrader going for 50-55k. I didn’t do anything to it. Was bone stock with a little over 18k miles. Im fairly certain I will look back In ten years and wish I would of found a way to keep it. Lol

That resale is insane. I could have gotten a new one for less when they were discounted/discontinued.
