1) Is pollen that bad for the paint? Currently in NC and it’s a daily thing. The 12-month ceramic coat seems to help.

2) What’s your favorite cell phone placement? This is mine, only because I like the iPhone face scan from that distance and ease of use from that location.

3) Any bike rack recs for this set-up? Just ordered the Rhino Rack and going for the Thule single roof carrier for the 29er.

Pollen won't hurt the paint. Tree sap and bird doo will.

I run a full Rhino Rack with Kayak carriers on mine. Love it

Can you find out which model number you installed? It says I received the RS729B, but the instructions have measurements for the Forte and Cerato. The front bar is close to fitting, but the the rear bar is at least a couple of inches too short. Did yours fit perfectly?

Yes, mine fit perfect. The rack you received would be unsafe to carry. If a mount shifted, the entire rack can move quite a bit.

Edit: Loosen up the screw on the mount, extend those mounts. It looks like the mounting hardware is still tightened up for shipping. The rubber foot will extend outwards to meet the pillar

I totally forgot you could do that. Seems strange the front one was almost at the right size out of the box. I'll report back with a final pic if this one fits. Thank you so much for the quick reply and useful info!

I'm not seeing it. I removed the screws, but those feet feel jammed in there. Is that the model number they send you? RS729B?

Polen is not bad for the paint...
What is bad for your pain is
1. improper washing and drying technique
2. not washing your car regularly
3. not protecting your car after washing it with a coating, wax, etc
4. taking your car to the car wash
5. letting your dealer wash the car
6. leaving dead bug guts and bird excrement on the paint for days

Your car pain is the reflection of your personality, at least that is my opinion.

Love your car, wash it, keep it shiny and pristine, protect the paint, do not neglect the paint of the car.

Cheers!

The rear bar itself that they sent me is just shy of 38 inches, and the specs have it listed as just over 40 inches, so it looks like they sent me a mismatched set. Oh well, will update after I receive the correct product.

Finally received my rear bar cut to the correct size and got them installed today. I like how the black Vortex looks with the Panthera Metal. Now to order the Thule UpRide and I should be all set to hit the trails.

Thanks again for your help.
