Is there a way to disable this? My Mustang I could disable both drivers and passengers warning for seatbelts. The wife is short and doesn't like wearing them because they rub her neck raw. Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't want to sound nitpicky but it's really a bad idea to refrain from wearing a seat belt. I don't want to sound like the annoying guy who tells you smoking is bad for you when you want to smoke - but with everyone paying more attention to Facebook on their phone than what's happening on the road in front of them - it would be better to find a solution to make the seat belt more comfortable than to refrain from wearing it. You can get seriously injured at only ten miles per hour...

I haven't checked mine, but aren't the seat belt positioners adjustable?

Agreed. And you can also injure someone else when your body flies into theirs.

She adjusts it all the way down but to no avail.

Raise the seat up a bit and lower the belt position or add a cushion to the seat. Too many people getting hurt or killed from not wearing the belts.

One rollover and you're dead. Agreed: raise the seat to max height, lower shoulder strap to lowest setting, use a cushion if necessary. If my late best friend's wife had been wearing her belt she would likely have outlived him by decades (women in her family typically made it to near a hundred). Instead, she got tossed from her rolling over Jeep in S. Utah.

I know it's not my place to say this, but I agree with everybody, the seat-belt will always outweigh it cons. So please be careful using these buckle defeaters. And Always keep in mind, you will never know when will an accident happen

I Would prefer using a Seat Belt Pillow instead of not using a belt. Life is Short enough - should not Play with it too much. You never know when another car hits yours.. but it’s true, you may the best driver - if other one is making a mistake, nothing would protect you.. sometimes even not a belt - but I don’t want to try it .. there is no reload Button

If she's short enough for the belt to be uncomfortable, a cushion of some kind is definitely in order, and would certainly give her increased visibility..

They also make wraps to make the contact point "softer" - the ones my ex has are sheepskin.
