Painting chrome emblems

trying to paint the “stinger” emblem in gloss black from the stock chrome. Any help? Thanks in advance.

Its virtually impossible to make it adhere long term ( i'm the test bot on this one ) , the important issue is to sand as much of the sheen off as you can , this is way more important than primer or xtra coats , spend as much time as you can stand with a 500grit or higher wet sand .............2 coats of primer and 3-4 coats of top coat and at least 2 coats of clear coat ......................even after all this you might find chips after a few washings ( NEVER take it to a auto wash ) Good luck ( Plasti Dip with glossifier is more durable )

Mines been fine for a year now.

Used new emblems (chrome)... if using existing ones, clean throughly with soap/water... then rubbing alcohol.

use a few coats of adhesion promoter.

then high gloss krylon.

You could just use a "Marks A Lot" and apply often.
