Paddle shifting

Has any one moved their shifter to the left (manual shifting ) and then just used the paddles? (in sport or other modes yet). That might hold it a bit longer....I haven't done it yet.

Yes, as I described already: in "manual gate" the trans does not enter automatic mode except under a few specific conditions: in cruise control being one of them; red lining being another (again, thank Kia). If you are in manual gate (or, I take it, Sport with GT2 shift by wire), the logic for drive modes is OFF as far as engine and transmission are concerned: manual is manual, it is all the same regardless of which drive mode you are otherwise in.
