Pretty much. Of course you can try doing it yourself. But without kds tool, it takes time. There's thread on this forum about doing it yourself.

Yea no tools here as I have limited space. Would you mind attaching that thread boss? But thank you honestly ! Might just take it to get done.

Bleeding 3.3L engine coolant the hard/easy way. some people use vacuum fill method, some, like myself, just big funnel with radiator adapter. But, whichever way you decide to go, it's a good idea to figure out why the coolant is disappearing. Looks like you lost a lot.

Sounds like the classic case of another Stinger venting out coolant over time and OP probably hasn't checked it for a number of months.

Ever since I've realised the car loses coolant over x months I've made it a point to look at the reservoir after every car wash when drying the underside of the bonnet and before making longer trips.

I've also bought KIA's 5L pink coolant to top up at my own convenience. At $35 a bottle it's a no brainer!

I had the same issue. My stinger never overheated but only reason why I decided to check cause I had a smell coming from the rear. However it did not smell like coolant at all.

Anyway I decided to pop up the hood and I looked and boom this is what I saw. Went to KIA dealer and bought coolant. I filled it to little above the L line. Drove it for a day and it dropped again. But for the life of me I could not find a leak anywhere and car runs fine. I wonder if I should take off the radiator cap and top it off? I tried taking it off initially but I could not get it off so I left it alone.

You shouldn't fill it to the "L" line.

You should fill it till the full line, and keep an eye on it. Your cooling system will probably suck in a little bit overnight as it cools down.

That’s what I ended up doing. I filled it when the car was completely cold but haven’t drove it since. I’ll monitor over the course of the week and see what happens
