while I was on the highway my Stinger went into over boost then into a limp mode. Boost hit 34psi on the JB4. I have the EWG wires installed on the car. I dropped it down to map 0 and it still did it. Is there any reason it would go into over boost not even at WOT. I attached a data log. Thanks for any help you can give me.

list the rest of your mods. It may make it easier for people to chime in. It seems like downpipe or going catless is a recipe for this. Also, do you have stock blow off valves? Some folks put aftermarket one on and they need adjustments to work properly. Just spit-balling here as I am no expert in this.

The ECU will limit the boost by opening the wastegate enough to moderate at the target level. Sounds like your wastegates could be stuck in the closed position. Did you recently install the EWG wires? What settings did you change in the JB4 when you did?

I also don't understand how your throttle can be over 80% when your pedal is less than 55%.

And why is the ECU only pulling 2.3-4.5 of timing on any cylinders after 28psi of boost.

This log is very strange.

Your rpm are dropping under that high boost. Are your blow off valves connected properly?

I would start with the BOVs and then maybe the EWG/wastegates.

I have no experience reviewing logs under the condition I am about to discuss but it kinda makes sense to me with your logs. I've only reviewed the raw CSV so far but will graph it later. I'm thinking maybe the BOVs are not doing their job. Normally, when the throttle plate closes the turbo is still pushing pressure against it. The job of the BOV is to let that pressure out. Maybe if they BOVs are not opening to relieve the pressure there could be enough pressure to show very high boost and even open the throttle more than pedal.

I'm having a similar issue:
- In Map 2 & 1 the car shudders and then goes into limp mode after throwing a P0049 (overboost) code at any kind of heavy throttle
- App will intermittently not be able to create logs
- App Display sometimes gets stuck. All data gauges (RPM, Ign 1, AFR, IAT, Gear, Map) freeze at a certain point and I have to restart the app to unfreeze them.

History:
- Bought a 2020 Stinger in September 2020
- Installed JB4 including fuel wires and BMS intakes in March 2021
- Worked fine since November 2021
- Have taken JB4 and intakes off and reinstalled a few times since March when taking it in for service at Kia

Only mods on the car:
- JB4, including fuel wires and bluetooth connector
- BMS intakes
- Denso plugs, gapped at 0.022"
- BMS oil catch can (although I removed this a couple weeks ago)
- Mando ECS10 suspension module

Any help would be appreciated!

*The JB4 has the 2580 chip

I actually figured out my issue I totally forgot to post it. The vacuum hose that went the intake manifold got a hole ripped into somehow l. I replaced at and I was back in business.

Got it. Thanks. Just checked the vacuum hose. Seems fine. Mystery still ongoing.

Make sure you hit up Burger Tuning directly for support. They don't monitor the forum all the time.

Got it. Thanks

If app is freezing try an updated 2580 chipset off our site or send yours in and we can hard flash that for you.

On p0049 that's caused by aftermarket exhaust and cold weather. Get EWG connectors and lower FF as needed to resolve it. FF = 35-40 usually.

Thanks, Terry. I just ordered an updated 2580 chip.

I've had the EWG wires since day 1 and I don't have any exhaust/downpipe modifications. On older logs when it was logging, it shows FF as pretty constant at 25.
