Hello every,

I'm looking for 2019 Stinger GT2 with white/red combo, but there are none of the dealers have this combo in california. All I can find out is that there's only one dealer in Kansas City have it. What can I do to have this car combo deliver to the Bay Area in California. I need your help. Do you guys have any experience about out of state purchase. In case, if something is not right. I might consider 2020 model like stinger GTS with orange/black combo. in fact, I don't like this color at all except the carbon fiber.

P.S I will go with the lease first, then payoff after 1 or 2 month.

Good - Jerry seiner Kia salt lake city
But yeah, no red interior, for love nor money. Maybe they can scare one up for you? I know that Jerry Seiner jumped through hoops to find me a Silky Silver, and trade for it, to get me to buy that day.

Sometimes it's cheaper to fly or drive out of state to get what you want rather than having the car delivered. Make sure you have a signed contract so the dealer doesn't screw you with extras they "forgot" to mention.

When you are set on a specific color, you are at a financial disadvantage. That being said, have you searched for a 2018 model, not much dif except 360 camera, I'm so used to looking in mirrors that I rarely use camera anyway. On a 2018 you may gain the upper hand if they want to unload it :)

Don't think he's searching for inventory correctly.... quick search shows plenty of white/red combo in Socal. Kia of Downtown Los Angeles alone has 3 White GT2s with red interior showing on their website (1AWD,2 RWD). 4 hour drive to get your Stinger is still better than a 4 hour wait at the DMV trying to register your out of state vehicle.

OP, red interior still shows up as black Interior on most websites. Click on the MSRP sticker, or more detailed description, then it shows as a red interior leather package.

True. The "sneak peek" feature revealed this, on the third looksee at Whites in their inventory:
black is red.webp

Your problems will be when search for red interior all of those cars are listed as black interior as the color on the sticker and you have to look at the secondary area to see if red interior was added. Totally stupid on Kia's part in my opinion many car websites don't even let you search for red and only give black as the option.

I think you're right about the inventory search. Most of their site show black interior only. The window sticker show red interior color package.

This. My White on red shows as having black interior. It's an option and makes searching for them online useless.

Find a dealer with a good reputation, and get in touch. If they don't have one, they can easily get one. I bought mine from Kia of Muncie in Indiana (500 miles away) - not because they were the only one with the combo I wanted, but because they demonstrated willingness to make the purchase process a pleasure.[/QUOTE]

You can use this URL to read the window sticker of any Stinger - just replace the VIN at the end with the VIN of the car you're looking at. Under the "Additional Installed Equipment" you'll see the Red Interior Color Package if it has it.

Another option is using kia.com's inventory list by zip code. While their inventory tool doesn't necessarily show the right interior color in the thumbnail, if you click the "window sticker" link you can view the correct info.

I only see AWD white/red GT2's in the Bay Area at the moment, but hopefully that helps.

FWIW, I bought my Stinger from a dealership in WI and had it delivered to my door in AL. Other than a lazy sales rep who never responded to emails and rarely to texts (had to go over his head to get someone to take my offer seriously), it was a smooth experience. Car was in great shape when it got to me and even had a couple of extras they didn't tell me about (must've overlooked them on the sticker). I considered going to get it, but I didn't want it's first 1k miles to be highway miles, preferred to break it in somewhat as the manual suggests.

Missed golden opportunity. I was still breaking in mine on it's first road trip (well, partway into the road trip). You can keep RPM to the recommended range of 2K to 4K and still get a lot of speed and acceleration in passing slowpokes. :D

Yeah I could have, but that would've been too much to keep up with personally. Not to mention the increased stress of worrying about all the added nutzo drivers I'd be exposed to on the way. I prefer the least amount of stress possible these days (as well as valuing my time more than money), so for me it was the only logical choice.
