only installing intakes

Hello Guys, so im new to the stinger and the turbo cars,

i bought my kia stinger before a month ago brand new 2023 3.3TT , i was wondering will i be able to install intakes only without jb4 at i may install the jb4 after a year or more im not in a hurry actually.

so will it give me more power or i will lose because i need jb4 ??

plus what do you thing about k&n air intakes?

You can install intakes, they just won't do much in the way of power without a tune, since the ECU will run the same boost. The turbo spool sound will probably be more noticeable, so that's probably the only reason to do intakes alone.

that's why i want to install turbo actually, just for the turbo sound,

what do you think about K&N air intake
and do you think since i just want the turbo sound can i go with panel intake air filter or it wont do any difference? (see the attached pic)

A drop-in filter in the stock airbox isn't going to change much. The added sound comes from opening up the pathway to the compressor, so any of the intakes that replace the stock airbox (or leave the top open) with a cone filter will probably be similarly aggressive.

I have the K and N drop ins...0 difference in the sound from stock. Minimal power gain if any.
I bought them because they are reusable and filter better than stock.

You can remove/unclip the front off your airbox.

It most definitely makes a louder induction noise (if you have K&N panel filters) than leaving it on, and if you pop your bonnet you will be pleasently suprised how little heat actually is in front of this area.

Although you don't have to believe me, just go try it for yourself... it costs nothing.
