At the risk of sounding more dumb than I normally feel, am I the only one here that instinctively reaches for the volume knob when switching to Sport mode? I've done this about half a dozen times now. I'll get on the road, realize I'm not in Sport mode, which is 100% a concern, and I'll grab the volume knob and twist it right and instead of Ludicrous Speed I have Ludicrous Volume.

I need to stick a post-it on it or something...

^^^Yes, you do, and I quote: "Part out".

I don't confuse the drive mode and volume (on/off) knobs, but I can't tell you how many times I have pushed the climate control knob thinking it was the volume knob, and visa versa.

Nice cribbage reference.

I do not have this problem. I'd guess you had a car before that had a dash mounted mode changer. Hard to break some habits.

I have difficulty remembering which way to turn to go to sport mode. Sometimes I end up in eco.

I wish that as part of building a right-hand drive vehicle they would switch the volume & tuning controls so the volume was on the right-hand side.

do you not have that as an option to switch with the tuning knob to the volume knob? One of the infotainment updates last year added that functionality for us in the states. I actually changed it so that the passenger side "tuning" knob is now the volume knob.

I've had a couple of people including myself accidentally twist the knob on the vents thinking it was the volume button lol.

Thanks for that advice, I was not aware that was a possible option.

I've had a look through the owner's manual and the infotainment guide but there's no reference to that being an option in mine. I haven't looked to see if there's any reference to it in the actual user interface in the car though.

Mine's a Jan 22 build, haven't done any software updates, I'd hope being that new it wouldn't need any. I've only had the car for a week, still working out how to do everything in it really.

I admit to being an idiot last fall. I was operating my backhoe all day. The forward / reverse lever is the turn signal lever in a car. You guessed it. Jumped in the stinger for beer run. Went to back out of garage engine just revved up and my left turn signal was on.

Hopefully . If not updates are pretty simple! On mine I believe it's under the settings , button settings at the bottom. On the page where you can set the mode button on the steering wheel and the star button on the media buttons.

Every start up for me includes switching to Sport mode unless I am on a trip to the coast then I'll use Smart mode. Sport all the way 95% of the time. My car feels like a Toyota Camry in comfort mode and that is not fun to me.

Yep, you're correct, I found the setting, switched the switches, you've made my wish come true!

Thank you.

Hey its not just you...ive slammed the forklift in to reverse signaling to turn left while going between buildings here at work. That'll wake you up real quick
