Greetings. I ran across this forum while looking for info on the KIA Stinger. I have a long history with KIA having gotten my first one back in the 90s when they were, at best, basic transportation. Since that time I have owned numerous KIAs. My current main ride is a 2015 V8, white on white, K900. In case anyone is interested here is what I think is the full list of KIAs I have owned in chronological order. Suffice it to say I am a KIA aficionado.

Mid 90s Optima
2004 Sportage Convertible
2004 Amanti (trying to forget that one)
2006 Sorento EX 4WD
2011 Optima EX
2011 Sorento LX 4WD
2014 Cadenza
2015 K900 V8
2017 Sportage LX

2018 Stinger????????????
We shall see. :)

Welcome to the board. Hopefully we've dug up enough info on the Stinger to sway you to get one when they come out.

Oh, I already have enough info to want one. I just would hate to have to let my wife go after all these years.

Ha ha ha ha ha! That's hilarious! Great sense of humor. Well! I'm sorry to hear you didn't like the Amanti. I never drove in one but I always thought they looked pretty nice. What was so bad about it that you want to forget it?

I'm going to guess that since your 2011 Optima you've been pretty happy with Kia as a brand. Wow! K900! That's awesome! You're one of the rare owners! I sat in one at an auto show and was thoroughly impressed. It's a very nice car. Congratulations.

The Amati wasn't horrible. The word I would use is, blah. lol

Yes, I really like the K900. A big V8 pushing me down the road takes me back to my youth. It is amazingly quiet. The engine is only turning 2k at 80 MPH. Cruise is a must on any interstate drive or I find myself rapidly edging to 100 and beyond.

Welcome aboard, Mr. Burns! And thank you for signing up. Do you know a new K900 is right around the corner? Are you considering that as well? I do love the K900 myself. I sat in a few in past auto shows. If I were Lexus, Lincoln or even Cadillac, I'd be very concerned. I don't see many on the road but that's just because people don't know what the car is all about. It's a truly impressive luxury sedan. If I were in your shoes - I'd be confused as to whether I wanted a new Stinger - or the new K900...

I'm glad you found us! :)

welcome old new member! how do you like the k900 compared to the cadenza?

I do know the K900 is bringing out a new version. I will most likely pass even though I really do enjoy mine. Talk about being the only one in your neighborhood. I have only seen 1 other K900 and I've had it just over two and a half years.
The problem KIA faces is most people balk on spending 60K plus on a KIA. Preconceptions influence buying decisions a lot. All they can do is to keep producing better and better cars, advertise and wait.

I really liked the Cadenza. I just got swayed by that big V8 and had to have it. One of my preconceptions from my youth. If I decide to not get the Stinger a Cadenza is a definite possibility. I really do not need a car as large as the K, I just wanted it. Kids are gone, wife only weighs about 110 lbs. The only fat butt is mine and the K is definitely a multi fat butt ride.

Welcome jburns. The Cadenza is a full size car. Right? How much bigger is the K900? From what I've read the new K900 is getting even bigger.

The K900 is a bit bigger all around. Sorry for the formatting but below are the exterior dimensions of each. The Cadenza is the first number.
