I'm curious to learn from those owners of Stingers with the 3.3L TT and some significant number of miles on the odometer what kind of oil consumption you're seeing or hopefully not seeing between oil changes. I'm not interested in data from anyone who spends a great deal of time at the dragstrip. Thanks, Don

well, i dont have a significant amount of miles on my whip yet, but ive only had service change it once in 5k miles.
i dont see why you'd need to worry about the oil consumption as long as you follow the recommendations in the manual. thats my 2 cents. and i guess synth last longer.

I'll probably change the oil at maybe 4000 miles just because I think a turbo lives a harder life than a naturally aspirated engine and at 7 mo no matter what the mileage is.

I have a Pontiac G8GT which has displacement on demand (runs on 4 cylinders when the load is light). The Buick GMC dealership nearby is excellent and the service manager has been a hands on ASME certified mechanic. Because of the tiny orifices in the lifters, he likes my approach of 5000 miles and 7 mo on that car. Don

Did my first OC at 1500 miles (2.5T), 2700 on the car now.

At 1500 didn't see any oil consumption. However, I do believe it was over filled a little). When I did the oil change, the level was right at the line cold. Now, 1200 miles later, the level is 2 dots below the full (when cold). I don't expect things to stabilize until there's more miles on the car 5-10K? I would just check it periodically and add as needed to keep it full.

My next OC will be at ~5K, then 5K or annually there after.

first oil change was done at 600 miles, then every 4-5k miles there after.. Only at 21,000 miles now but checked oil before and after every oil change... no discernable drop in oil whatsoever in the 5000 miles between oil changes yet.

That's good to hear, I've always been very religious about oil changes and for many cars, I've never had one that needed any oil between changes, more realistically, most were at the full mark when I wanted to change it. Don

Change oil each c. 4K miles: have pulled the dipstick a dozen or so times in three and half years plus: oil level has always showed above the max line (some people shudder at seeing that). I guess you could say that I don't have a concern about oil thus far.
