Just installed the moshimito oil catch can, at what interval (time or distance) is everyone emptying it at? Ie how long does it take before its say a 1/3 full.
The amount of oil that gets into the crankcase ventilation line depends on the amount of blow-by combustion gases that churns up the crankcase oil vapor. That, in turn, depends on how the car was driven and what conditions the piston rings are sealing against the cylinder walls, and to some extent the environmental conditions. Every engine, every driver, and every locale are different.
Best bet is to check your catch can content frequently at first to get an idea of how much oil it's accumulating. Once you get a sense of the pattern, then you can relax your check frequency.

The BMS Stinger Zero Maintenance OCC keeps oil where it belongs preventing it from being sucked through the PCV system and coating your intake manifold, cylinder heat, and valves. Degrading your vehicle's performance over time. Low Price for piece of mind.
I view it as, probably not as good as a dedicated OCC, but better than not having anything at all.
Keep oil out of your Kia Stinger intake manifold!
The BMS Stinger/Genesis Zero Maintenance Oil Catch Can (OCC) keeps oil where it belongs preventing it from being sucked through the PCV system and coating your intake manifold, cylinder heat, and valves. In addition to the long term damage and maintenance headaches crankcase oil can cause over time it also reduces engine efficiency and lowers effective octane sapping performance. This unique easy to install solution combines the effectiveness of an OCC (oil catch can) with the convenience of an air/oil separator. Oil is separated from engine vapor within the OCC where it gravity drains right back into the crankcase providing a truly install and forget it oil catch can solution. Never needs to be emptied or serviced! The system is CNC machined for precision performance and fully sealed to retain full factory emissions performance. Installation takes only minutes, is fully reversible, and includes all required hardware. Made in the USA.
Note the Stinger/Genesis 3.3L has two separate PCV paths, a vacuum side, and a boost side. The BMS Kia Stinger OCC is for the vacuum side which we've found contributes ~95% of the manifold PCV oil contamination. With the Stinger, we have not found any significant benefit to adding a separator to the boost side (driver side) system and suggest leaving it factory.
Don't have an issue with my Burger Motorsport catch can but then I change my oil every 3000km's anyway.
Funnily enough my valves do have a tiny bit of build up on them but I assume that is from the other side breather, I wasn't expecting to find oil on that side but I did...
