Yep, it is brutal & most have AC in OZ, mine is currently set at 23c & going outside is like walking into an oven. Right now where I’m at it’s 3:24pm & 45c.
Yesterday, Vic weather was weird. Got out of work it was 42C, northerly was blowing strong, felt like you were walking around inside an Oven and then these Sun showers came down with big drops of rain. They were loud when they hit the car at first I thought it might have be hail. Later towards evening we had heavy rain and loud claps of Thunder but at least it had cooled down.
Today it is a beautiful 22C with an easterly breeze

36c is a walk in the park for us, it’s when it hits 40+ it’s tough, currently huge bushfires are burning on the south coast of NSW & across the border in Victoria, the pictures shown on the news tonight & it looks like they have opened the gates of hell.
Here’s a couple of shots posted.
When it hits 25 here ya flick on the news and their warning people about the freakin “heat wave” outside and if you have heart or breathing problems stay inside. It’s a joke makes me wonder if any of these fear mongers have ever been on a holiday to warmer climes. Now in your shoes with 40+ temps I totally understand. I’ve been in +40 and -40. I’ll take the +40 all day long.
