Of course there is space below the Front Seats - but they only made mine this way...

Of course NOT.
Your seats have what, 10-12 adjustment possibilities? One of them is height.
Not every driver want/needs to sit as close to the floor as possible.
And if you have family, you accommodate each other in the car, so everyone is comfortable...
Check the shape of your Foul Weather Mats - the one for the back seats. Notice that they are kind of T-shaped? Kia ment that probably for backseat passengers.

I am storing my little tire compressor, the odd caulking gun and the boxes shown below.

This is to show you how much space there is if you can/willing to adjust your seat somewhat:

In this instance I am storing 2 containers side by side in place of a pair of shoes under the seat.
The size of these containers are
L 8.5"
W 6.25"
H 4"
I am 5'10" and don't hit the roof when I am in the drivers seat.

As the picture shows, I am fitting 2 boxes side by side under the driver's seat. If your passenger has larger shoe tips than these boxes, he/she will have problems. Good luck. YMMV. :)

Nice, I’m glad you clarified how many boxes you fitted under there, with all you photo’s I thought at first you had got 6 boxes under there....WTF....lol, then I realised you have posted the same photo’s three times..

I am 5'10" as well. Will try this. Thank you for the post.

That’s great for you short blokes at 5’10” and lower, but at 6’1” my seat sits low or my head touches the ceiling so no space under my drivers seat. Anyway as it’s my car, it’s all about my comfort whilst driving, if people don’t like the space in the passenger areas there’s always the bus and I’ll just meet them at the other end ;):D:p

It just not about height as well. I have long legs, so I need even less headspace.
