I'm using the RaceChip GTS Black in my 3.3 Stinger. I was fortunate to come across a gas station on my commute to work that sells 94, 96, 98, 100, and 101. I filled up with 94 and put my chip in Race mode and car in Sport. Felt like more power to me, but then maybe it was a self-fulfilling prophecy and this was the first time I tried the chip in Race mode as RaceChip states the octane should be between 93-98. Any harm with using Race mode with 91? I suspect not, it's just that the hp gains will not be as much. Looking for feedback regarding using higher octane gas with a pnp chip and were the performance gains noticeable.

More boost requires higher octane and yes you will definitely see performance gains when using chips/tunes.

Almost all chips/tunes available recommend 93+ to achieve their posted gains. Anything less will cause detonation and ECU will pull power. Also most tuners use & suggest ethanol mixes to get 96+ octane in order to run higher boost maps and maximize HP. Anyone telling you otherwise is incorrect or uninformed. Low octane fuel with high boost is a recipe for disaster and could seriously harm your engine.

I would not run 91 on the higher modes you might get some pinging on lower octane fuel. That’s very bad for the motor.

It is important that you have proper aftermarket spark plugs. Then you can also run 91 octane.
Still, we recommend 93 octane. It's better for the engine and better for the performance.

I personally love a WMI system on top of 93 octane. Cleans the engine, cools the charge, easy to obtain, and normally driving I could treat it like Filling DEF fluid in a diesel... about 2 gallons every 2 full tanks of fuel.
