• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Octane curiosity

View attachment 31374

That's straight from the owners manual in an Australian delivered car.

The fuel filler door does then say RON95 ... I am conflicted on what to use ...

The key wording difference between the two owners manuals is "designed to use" and "for the optimal engine performance."

The first appears to discuss minimal octane requirements, while the second suggests what is available with higher octane.

When presented with less than clear instructions, the only real solution is to use the highest octane available with the most fuel cleaning properties.

Not much else we can do otherwise ...

It's pretty common for Kia user manuals to have discrepancies and misprint I have come to find. My manual literally has a sticker over the fuel requirements section likely due to an inaccuracy.

If in doubt you can check the published specifications on Kia's website for your country as well.

Regular unleaded is RON91 in Australia.

The ** beside it refers to "E10 compatible" further into the brochure.
