I have a 2022 Stinger GT1 and it frequently displays an odd action. The gas tank cover locks normally and securely and always responds to the switch on the lower left of the instrument panel. It does, however randomly release. It frequently pops open when I stop and more often than not when I stop at a gas station. Very bizarre. Is this possibly some strange feature of UVO?

Second question. I have looked at the manual to see if it had a master shut off of all electrical circuits after 10 min when you've shut the car down as is the case in the GM car I have and in a newer one that is history. There are some shutoff provisions but it also refers to a "Position light". I don't see any definition of that anywhere, not in the LED replacement area nor in the beginning of the manual where it points out features of the exerior of the car. Thanks, Don

You're bumping the release button with your knee. :D The first time I realized this was coming out to my car after sleeping in a motel, and I was sure someone had siphoned my gas. But gassing up didn't confirm that suspicion. Then later it happened again, only the gas cap door was opened when I got out of my car. Finally I noticed when I did it: hasn't happened more than once since then. *knock, knock*

I guess that's plausible but it happens even when I don't move around in the car. Happened at church yesterday. Wife went in ahead, I sat and read for a while. Don

Car is super, runs like a scalded cat, excellent mileage. No misfitted parts, now happier with a dual catch can set up. Don

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Occam's razor. I'm with Merlin. Especially where it is a push (rather than pull like hood latch) activated (presumably spring-loaded) analog device right where your knee hovers. Also could happen if you reach down to adjust gauge light level... best luck!

It's a running joke. How do you think he has so many posts? :D
