I bought a 2019 GT2 from Yonkers Kia and the rotors went bad after 13,000 miles. Called to see if they would fix it under warranty. They said they would charge $169 to resurface the rotors and if it happened again they we replace them.
Called Danbury Kia and they just said no.
Called Yonkers Kia and they said to bring it in and the service manager would make a decision.
I had the same problem with a 2018 GT1 and paid over $1000 to replace the rotors and pads. I thought it was crazy that both went bad so I decided to try to get it covered.
They did replace the rotors and pads, just charging for the pads. I will only deal with White Plains now. I bought a Telluride from Danbury and will never buy another car there or from Yonkers. Buying the car is the easy part. Service is the killer.
Another advantage to Yonkers is the service manager gives you his cell number and answers texts even after hours. I was very happy with them.

i leased mine from Stamford Kia, in the midst of the pandemic. They made the process as fast and contact free as possible. The people were very nice and professional. It was a leftover 2019. The only advice I have for buyers is to check the cabin air filter and air intake boxes asap or request the dealer to check them. Mine was infested from sitting on the lot so long in the cold weather.

Good to hear this about Stamford Kia. I'm looking to get the 2022 GT2 when it's available, and if it can be done in Stamford even better, since I'm in town as well

I’m actually from northern ct and went all the way down there to get it. They gave me a good deal on my trade and I got about 14k off msrp including the lease cash for the GT1. All of the other dealers weren’t really budging. Good luck, I’m sure you will have a good experience. I worked with Steve K and Dave M (sales manager).

Yonkers Kia were the ones who fixed my pad/rotor problems under warranty. The car was less than half a year old in my possession and with barely any mileage so I guess that's why it was done at no cost.

Are you talking about the Russian service manager or the Italian? I've worked with both and they're very laid back and professional. That location is nice but very slow.
