Not so long time lurker

I, of course, can't speak for the other 2...but my GT2 is awesome! I was deciding between a Scat Pack Charger and the Stinger. Let's just say, I randomly test drove both and, for me, the Stinger hit all the high points. BUT...that's primarily because the 3 things I wanted were; 1. Relatively fast; 2. Head turner; 3. Unique (this is where the scat pack lost me). I say you make your top 3-5 list of wants and then go buy your Stinger. ;)

Oh and welcome, this IS the place to find all you'd ever want to know about the Stinger.

Hah, well those three are kind of what I'm after. ... Well that and 4 doors. I don't care if it turns heads but kind of fast, at least a little refined, and dependable.

Hey all, I just completed a major life goal and will need new transportation. I'm waffling back and forth between an alfa giulia, GT1, or a used audi a5. Naturally, that brought me here.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. You found the best place to do your research! What might the Stinger be replacing?

It is definitely a step up. Replacing a 2004 scion xa

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Welcome aboard!....Those were actually my top three when I was in the market for a new car.
The alfa is great but unless you get the quadro foglio you are not having much fun with it. Also they are plagued with issues and the price tag is up there. Especially when compared with the Stinger.

Hi, I was looking at the Audi S5 Sportback, Alfa Giulia or Stinger GT2. After driving the Stinger, there was only one car for me personally! Have you driven all three that you are looking at?

No test drives yet, getting finances and everything else set up first. I live in Austin TX though so all three of those are readily available. Looking to buy within the next few months.

Yeah, definitely recommend you to test drive all of them. I'm in Houston so look forward to meeting you at a Stinger Meet in future ;)

Hey Tobstertx3, I saw you bought yours from Killeen. Did you check out the Austin dealers? I had a horrible experience at a Kia dealer a while back. Trying to find one worth dealing with.

No, i only visited two of the Kia dealers in Houston before i visited Killeen. I visited Killeen because of the modified Stinger they had there. I left a review of them under the Kia Dealership forum page- they were great. I'd actually drive the 3 hours to go back and purchase another car from them without any hesitation.

Welcome aboard! You have some nice cars on your list but i’ll have to say the Stinger seems to meet your needs. As of now, there are some great incentives on the Stingers, with the GT2 AWD offering the most lease cash. Lots of folks have been doing the lease then buying it out shortly after, $8900 or $9300 (if you are military) off, is nothing to sneeze at. Plus KIA has one of the best warranty in the business. Now go drive that car and rake one home!

If it's more like 2-3 months from purchase, suggest you add the Genesis G70 to your list (closest of the group to the Giulia).

That is, if there's a Hyundai dealership around Austin that is getting a Genesis store.

There is a Genesis store close to me as well so I intend to check out the g70. This is probably not the right place but I'm trying to decide between the GT and GT1. I really don't want a sunroof since I'm here in Texas. I'm worried about the lack of Nav vs Android Auto and the ride quality of the GT VS GT1. Any suggestions?

Ride will be identical. Ride is pretty much identical across all the trims. That isn't where the differences occur. If you want the 3.3TT you are going to have to get a GT if you don't want a sunroof. I wasn't aware of a difference in NAV between the GT and GT1/2. All Stingers have UVO, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In the higher trims of both Stinger and GT you have an 8" touch screen instead of a 7" (referring to outside dimensions, I presume, since my GT1's actual screen is 7", the frame is tapered but is c. 8").
