@4WDlifeform hate to see those scratches on your car. I also have the Aurora Black pearl, now I’ve only had the car for 6 weeks and I’ve washed it only 3 times but so far the paint looks really good. Don’t mean to sound like I’m rubbing it in (no pun intended), just wanted to let you know.

I own a yellow and I brought my car to my paint protection guy with only 23 miles on the car. He has been doing paint correction and paint protection for over 20 years and he told me that the paint was amazing in terms of how little paint correction was needed and considered this a single step paint correction while most cars including bmw, Audi, Porsche etc all need a 2 step paint correction so I believe the finish is well above average if not superior. Improper care of paint will be damaging to any brand and or type of paint regardless of hardness and thickness. With black and dark colors you will notice it more than lighter colors. Sometimes you just won’t notice how bad you have taken care of your paint until you get it corrected properly and you start to see your reflection in the paint like a mirror.

Expert4, I read your post, i own a silver stinger. I was thinking, should i get that coat of protection.

Anyone own a "Thunder Grey" (dark silver) stinger and notice paint issues like this?

I just got my Black Stinger back from one of the best detailing shops in my area. They did a paint correction and applied a sealant. I’ve had the car for a week. Swirl marks shown are straight off the lot. In his opinion the clear coat was OK. A little soft.

Overall, very happy with the results.

When I purchased my car I had already planned on bringing it to get paint protection before i drove it. With this in mind I also took the car straight from delivery truck not allowing the dealership to “detail” the car before I took possession. I made them leave all the plastics on both the interior and exterior to assure my paint was protected before it was molested in any way.

That is so hard core. I love it. :D

Love it. I'll be doing this in future.
