Hello , today I finally added my first mods to my stinger. I added a k&n CAI and GoFastBits blow off valves. Everything went well for the most part and I took the car on the highway, about half way through the car lost all boost. I blew out the rubber pipe that connects to the middle of the BOF’s (I have 0 idea on what it’s called), replaced it and now my car runs fine, other than the fact I don’t build boost past 18psi on the meter no matter how much throttle. The BOF are adjustable, which was my mistake the first time by tightening the spring down too much , sending too much air back into the pipe , I loosened it now but I don’t know if that’s causing a boost leak through the BOF’s. Anyone else have this issue before ? I swear to myself I’ve seen it go past the 20psi mark before applying the parts but maybe I’m just imagining.

Which GFB bov you have? I have the 9012. I have the spring adjusted near stock level where the spring is almost flush with the surface but sits slightly more inside. If you have it too loose it will leak and will go into limp mode easier. I can take a picture if needed but that's the best setting I found where it doesn't cause an issue. I mostly run it in 100% recirculation mode on both. Double check to make sure your clamps are on nicely on both ends on the intake and inlets. Also the stock boost gauge really isnt that accurate so I would not rely on it.

If you have a 2022+ stinger they are just known to overboost easier even 100% stock. The stock tune with the wastegates just don't play too well once you add intakes and exhaust. Pretty much need jb4 + ewg/fuel wires to get rid of that or some custom ECU tune but from what I've read, EWG wires are the key to not overboost since you can adjust them in the jb4 app. I am about to get mine all done so I don't have that issue. Not that I have it often but it can be annoying at times.

Im running the 9212's on my '20 stinger. One issue that I've come across is a kink in both of my recirc hoses. Its not massive but it does seem to be a bit restricting. I am running 50/50 recirc blow off. The more I've driven it I think I was just thinking crazy , and after looking at some forum posts I see people saying usual boost levels are around 16-18psi.

Oh that would most likely cause issues. I did buy spare recirculation hoses from this online store along with some other stuff: Genuine OEM Kia Parts and Accessories Online - Kia Parts Now

They have it there. My left side hose has a slight bend as well but all seems good. Probably just need to cut some length see if that takes the kink away or maybe just need a new hose.

I probably will try to run some different settings as well see how it is. I put back the stock trumpets too. Kinda got tired of the whistling trumpets. :) Honestly though the k&n typoons are fairly loud so doing a 50/50 sounds like fun!
