Saw an evo 8 on the highway today.
Lowered, drag style wing, nice car imo



70 zone and traffic maintained 65 to 69 and our digital spedo is 1mph fast most the time.

Ran beside me and there were to many cars so no fun. After a long while ~ 20 miles the far right lane emptied and the left 2 are full and brake lights are running down.

I signal for no less than 7 blinks per lane change and make my way to the right. The evo follows. Once i see the 8 or 12 car long line in each left lane both with a slow poke in front i see opportunity.

I began accelerating and did not top 80 passing, ready to brake if someoneelse gets the same idea. The evo follows.

The lanes open and i open up as well.

The evo got small behind but it did leave the cars in the pack behind.

I believe this shows off our gearing just how it left. Evo could drop to 4th maybe 3rd at 70 or 80 mph if hes brave. I can drop to 4th and just go. 8 gears lets the ratios be closer than average gearboxes too!

Topped out 110~~ and got back to the right lane for my exit. The evo strolled up and passed slow. Maybe respect? Maybe he was curious what the car that ran off was? Either way one of my favorite cars couldnt catch me

Must not have had many mods because evos can stand tall and have large power numbers.

110 is aggressive? I-95 in the Carolinas would like a word. If you're not doing 90 you're getting run off the road. Everyone does 79.99999999 MPH up to the VA/NC border and then EVERYONE gets on it.

Yea really, I495 around DC 80 mph is the slow lane.

400 in Atlanta should be named the Atlanta Motor Speedway. You are either doing 5 mph on it or 110 mph. There is no in between.

Sick pulls and I have incredible respect for the Evo. I wish Mitsubishi did not drink the coward-tea and cut off one of their more impressive and fun cars for the line up.

The Evo was one of my favorite cars and still is my favorite car of all time. Come to think of it... before Mitsubishi decided to become cowards... the majority of my favorite cars came from that company!
