Next Generation Stinger ???

Next-Gen Stinger info where..?

Unless this is just a display of mindless political tribalism as a feature for the car. If so, not a fan.

Link's broken from my end. Could very well be work and the network sucking at life. But that doesn't explain the crap following that. Figured maybe someone posted something I could actually see or...literally anything other than more mindless back-and-forth.

My take on EV's is unless we are charging all with Solar or Wind we are just shifting the burning of fossil fuels from one to the other. Also lets not forget what we do to the land to extract those Essential Elements needed to build all the batteries. Instead of rushing into EVs the focus should be more on Hybrids until the infrastructure is setup so its not reliant on fossil fuels. I had a 2012 Optima Hybrid for 7 years. It easily got 950km and up on a tank of gas. Was able to get 1000+ numerous times on long drives. During winter it would drop to about 900+km. I did have a block heater installed to help in the colder months. Compared to the non Hybrid i was getting easily 1/3 more mileage while burning the same fuel and emitting less pollution.

My take on Masks. Everyone is entitled to choose for themselves if they want to wear one or not. 99.6% who get Cobud have mild symptoms, 98% recovery, 2% have died and those who have moved on had 2 or more underlying conditions and are in the upper age brackets. All at a cost of $20trillion in debt, unemployment through the roof, bankrupt businesses, broken homes, mental health and health issues associated with wearing masks daily for hours on end. Bash me if you want, your entitled to it, just like we should be entitled to choose Mask or No Mask.

The next gen Stinger was adopted by one tribe as a champion of internal combustion and pitted against alternative power tech. The false dualism elicited a response. Things like this happen on open forums. Thankfully, rarely. And probably because there aren't enough substantive changes to the car after four years of production to write home about.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
The video spitballs the Stinger's future as well as any prognosis I've heard. With all the development of EV's, I think it would be cool to keep the Stinger as a high performance only halo car. If Kia kept it as an IC or hipo hybrid, its sales numbers would not negatively impact Kia's CAFE. A hybrid could showcase some of the all EV tech in store for their other products. About 500 HP and 650 lb. ft. of torque would compel me to trade up, lol.

^ If there is to be a next gen Stinger (and not replace by an entirely new EV model like the EV6), likely will be offered in ICE and electric (no hybrid) like Genesis.

The electric variant of the G80 sedan will be launching soon, followed by the electric variant of the GV70.

I remember yrs ago reading articles about the world running out of oil - look what happened. In the case of precious metals (lithium ion) I think its possible. Already shortages for car companies and other tech. I do have faith in tech advancements.

Also lets not forget what we do to the land to extract those Essential Elements needed to build all the batteries.
Exactly, I can just see the destruction of the environment already. Drilling, excavating all over the place! Plp worried about fracking for natural gas, just wait a few more yrs and see what happens with precious metals. What happens to the batteries when the life of the car is up, will they be reused or dumped in the ocean, buried underground or shipped off to a 3rd world country?

Future Stinger- new name, strong resemblance.

My 2 cents.....I mainly agree with you on this point. Even now, companies are lining up to drill the ocean floors for these elements where a lot of them reside.....damned if we do, damned if we don't type of thing.....

Won't "bash" because you are entitled to your opinion but I must disagree to a "personal" extent....had a VERY CLOSE cousin die from COVID (only 40 yrs old and has 2 children). A close friend from high school also died from COVID and his mother died just 24 hrs after he did. Maybe masks would not have saved them but maybe they would have. I agree with masks but again, my personal preference.

I will end to say that I won't make any further comments on these subjects as I don't think this is the place for these conversations. I, like others, come here for info and "advice" if you will, regarding owning or thinking of owning a Stinger. Be well brother....

Glad you ended with that: because Sal created an entirely separate covid board.

I hope they can find additives to replace lost gasoline in the future... but then again I feel that there will be no more ICE vehicles pretty soon... which is a shame...

I bet in less than five years there will not be a single vehicle produced in manual transmission and in less than ten years all none fully electric cars will cease to be made. Give it another five years after that and they're going to ban all cars that aren't hybrids or EV.

Being a car enthusiast is going to turn into the hobby of horseback riding or fishing off the shore. What a shame. I guess my next car in ten years or so will be something electric and quick though... but all electric cars are going to look and sound the same...

lmfao

I see the gas vs. EV conversation alot.
I drove a Mercedes CLS53 AMG with their mild-hybrid system where an electric booster effectively provides anti-lag.
Heres there its fantastic: They're damn near 500lb/ft of torque on a little turbo'd 6 with this system. I was skeptical due to how it sounded like a weedwhacker on startup but was wow'd with how brutal a launch it was. I think figures put it high 3 second to 60 range. Pretty amazing tech.

By the time we all get too old to (safely) drive our grandkids will all be driving cars that rocket to 60 in under 3 seconds...and these will be the normal everyday commuter cars.

And we'll shake our old wrinkly fists at them and go on rants about the good ole' days when there were real cars and they all made loud noises and smelled of burning fossil fuels.

Then they'll take us for a quick spin in their electric bubble-mobiles that will cause us to throw up on the bamboo/recycled rubber dashborad.

The future is bright.

Yes! It'll be like prohibition all over again! An elderly generation of street racers make their own bootleg fuel to run their antiquated riced out shitboxes around making tons of noise and polluting the earth!

What a future that will be... everyday "normal" economy cars that put down off the line performance to rival supercars of today while being able to go into a fully autonomous mode to take the grandparents to the store.

I forget which episode of the Sopranos I was watching years ago and I remember there was a scene where a character was bragging about how their car did 0-60 in under six seconds. My goodness have we come a long way! :D

Just imagine, in the future supercars will probably ditch the 0-60 and 1/4 mile metric for measuring performance. They'll probably advertise their EVs with 0-100 and half-mile specs.

2050 Toyota CorollaEV: 0-60 2.8 seconds.
2050 Mercedes SL-EV: 0-60 1.8 seconds.
2050 Bugatti EVeyron: 0-100 2.5 seconds.

Cars are going to come equipped with built in helmets and roll cages.
