I'm curious to see how this update will turn out. Since the 2016 redesign, this vehicle has an air or luxury to it and the face lift gave it a bit more. With the Stinger, K900 and now Telluride coming with a more upscale feel, I'm curious to see what this and the upcoming Optima will bring.

Ha. Typical BMW driver...

LOL! In this scenario though, the Sorento was towing the X5, which is why it's so close.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I guess this kills the rumour of the Sorento's demise given the Telluride debut , I really like the Telly but to be honest its too big for my needs , the Sorento has been ideal ( coming from and X6 and X5 )

^ Hmm, never hear that rumor and it wouldn't make sense.

The Sorento is a big seller for Kia and more automakers are joining the tweener segment (Honda the latest w/ the Passport).

Plus, the Sorento is the big Kia CUV in many markets (EU, SK, Australia, etc.)

The update I think will make it a sportier and more luxurious vehicle. They are probably targeting the X5 as a vehicle they want to use as a benchmark. While they won’t be going straight against it price wise, NVH, ride, handling, comfort, etc., will be things they will target and compete with. If they do that, then the Sorento will be even more luxurious than the Telluride, while being a bit on the sporty side to allow them to charge more for it and we (enthusiasts) will probably get a version we can be happy with. At least, that’s what i’m hoping for. Love the Telluride but really don’t need a vehicle of it’s size but would love a 5 seater that will be fun to drive.
