You’ll easily find someone willing to swap their stock for yours (likely a Borla)…

Any way i can find out exactly what part it was? guess i have to jack the car up? is there another exhaust that is a little louder than stock but not as loud as what i have?

Look under the car at the muffler. Most aftermarket exhausts have their logo stamped on it.

Looks like a borla. but it's welded so i guess for the swap, you have to unweld it? Wnder how much this is gonna cost to do the swap....lol... another item voided from the factory warranty....lol.. I guess my car is turning into an aftermarket hidden box of parts...

No way it’s welded all the way front. There are mating points each with two bolts.
Yeah, i didn't check the front but it seems like it's not quite a simple diy job to just do a swap. I mean this thing seems to retail for over $1K. and borla claims it adds a few more HP so i guess i should be happy to have it? lol.. it just that it's a bit loud for my purpose as a daily driver to work. Also i am concerned about things not being under warranty when i bought that extended used car warranty for an additional 6yr/72k miles bumper to bumper that says it doesn't cover anything altered from factory.

For a car that's 5 yrs old almost, I have to say it is very well kept cosmetically. It does have some squeaks and rattles though. I wonder if they also installed aftermarket suspension parts. Come to think of it, i wonder if i should call up the prior owner and ask him what he did to the car . The kia dealer forgot to update the phone number and address when i brought my car in today. So when they print the invoice, it has all the prior owner info....lol...

Borla is seriously a great exhaust. If you go stock, it’s annoyingly quiet.

But it is totally DIY if you have tools (box wrenches/sockets/mallet/pb blaster/extensions/sockets/swivels/etc.

Yep, i test drove a new 2023 and it was really too quiet. But at the same time, this borla is a bit too loud for my taste.. I have an infinit G35 as a daily before and I think the G35 has the right amount of sound for my taste.

Somebody just cut out the stock mufflers and welded in some tiny Borla mufflers. Hack job.

Stillen or MBRP are the quietest cat back systems.

Yeah, it seems like i got a bit of a mess used car ;(
Honestly, if you got a great deal on the car I would keep it but.. if you didn't you might want to inquire about returning it. I'm going to say you are just beginning to find issues.

Well, kinda sucks but how are you able to inquire about returning the car? they probably won't accept it back. Except buying it back at lower price ;(

Yeah definitely a hack job. My stinger is now only dual exhaust instead of quad exhaust :( so it is worse off :(

Right, but how do i convince the dealer to get it back? There is no money back period (like carvana).
Some dealers will have a small window (5, 10 days) that you can return a car if you are not satisficed. Was just curious if you had that option. It could give you some leverage with getting some things fixed if you say you want to return it. That's all.
