Newbie Question

So I got my Kia Stinger on Friday and a couple of really simple questions that I just can't work out.

- Keyless Entry. I seem to only be able to get this to work if I hold my key in my hand opening the door. Doesn't recognise it when it's in my pocket, is this normal behaviour.

- Smart Tailgate. Again I've switched on the smart tailgate feature but it doesn't seem to recognise me when I'm stood behind the car.

I'm based in the UK and the car is a GT-Line-S spec. Cheers in advance.

No, that is NOT normal. Does the same happen with either Key Fob? You might try a new battery in the fob-- but I'd guess a trip to the Kia dealer will be needed . . .

I'd take a trip to nearest dealer if the second key works the same way. Both features should work when you just have the key on you.
