I ordered new wheels and tires from Fitment Industries and just installed them yesterday. I have never had wheels with different hub bore before. The install went smooth and I torqued them to spec (90ftlbs). After I installed them I came across a thread about vibrations and not properly centering the wheel. Fitment Industries did include new conical lugs and I had no issues putting them on.

During the first two drives I tried to avoid interstate driving yesterday to test out for any vibrations. I had no vibrations up to 65mph yesterday. This morning on the way to work I couldn't avoid interstate and again noticed no vibration up to 75mph.

There seems to be a lot of conflicting reports where some say you need hubcentric rings no matter what and others say the friction force of the lug nuts carries the load so rings are not required and only help with centering the wheel. With that being said, I have no vibration so far and have taken it easier on roundabouts, are hubcentric rings absolutely critical? Is there actually a risk in shearing the lug bolts if there is no ring?

Good looking setup, you need Hub Century Rings you can order them off Amazon or many other sights.
The hub bore on the Stinger is 67.1

Did FI not include hubcentric rings? I would imagine that should be included when you ordered the wheels for your specific car.

If they are not included, spend a little more and get aluminum ones, instead of plastic.

FI did not have any rings with the shipment and I did not notice any rings already installed, but I admit I did not know to look for them before I put the wheels on. I will contact FI today as well. Thanks for the replies, is there rationale for why rings would still be needed if I have no vibrations?

You'd think when you spend over $1k on a set of wheels, the least they can do is to throw in a set of rings. You can pickup a set for less than $10; probably cost them $3.

You can run your wheels lug centric, if you so choose. There are wheels made that are meant to be lug-centric. Most aftermarket wheels these days are made and rated as hub-centric. If this were my own car and wheels. I would not want to run them without the rings. If, for whatever reason, 1 or more of your lug bolts come loose, the ring will still keep the wheel centered and able to carry close to the rated load.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I was able to get hold of Aodhan customer support today. They did confirm that their wheels are lug centric. So from a technical standpoint, hub centric rings are not required when using a conical lug nut with proper torque. That being said, they usually recommend running a ring to help with centering the wheel and usually throw them in the order when asked. I ordered through FI though. I am waiting for their team to respond to my request, but I ordered a set of rings off Amazon to put on as an extra measure. They did say it was safe to drive without rings and there shouldn't be an issue if there was no vibration.
