I picked up a later model JB4 from a user on here and have it installed. I haven’t driven it yet but I have started the car and done my best to link the Bluetooth which I think is working.

I have a few questions and keen to get some help to make sure I am not doing anything silly.

1. I created a JB4 account on the app and linked the JB4 to it. I got an update request which I actioned and I get a “handshake” when I open the app which I assume means it’s connected. I can change the maps in the gauges and don’t get any errors.
2. I ran the JB4 from the drivers side (Australia) and short fuel wire to drivers side and long one to passenger. Are these specific to a fuel rail bank or doesn’t matter if wrong? If specific I might pull the connector and ensure the short is pin 20 and long is pin 21
3. I don’t have any gauges. I know this is OBD related and I’ve triple checked the plug orientation. The release clip is the side with the tab. However still no gauges. Can I meter the pins to see if the cable and connector are good?

Car has new Denso’s gapped to 0.022” (done 2 weeks ago) and starts without any issues.

I managed to change one of the gauges to Boost and can confirm I am getting a reading there. So looks like a simple OBD issue I would suspect.

Unplugging and plugging the OBD connector can’t get it to change state. Keen to check the pins are connected properly from the OBD connector to the pins on the JB4 plug. Can someone help me with which pins to check?

The wires are side specific so if installing the JB4 on the oppsite side of our install manual you'll need to extend the short fuel wire so it reaches over.

Do I have the pins correct Terry? Short to 20 and long to 21?

Also is there a pin out guide I can test the OBD wire? I suspect the connector is faulty so will replace today but don’t want to mix up the wires.

Connector on the OBD2 fell apart on the JB4 side. So I have a Deutsch connector (2pin) and will rewire it.

Waiting to find a diagram so I make sure the OBD plug is correctly wired through to the JB4 module big plug.

Fuel wires are documented in the n54tech thread. OBDII as follows.

Terry do you have the OBD connector wiring too? It’s still not working and I’m keen to check wiring on the other side now and validate continuity back to the JB4

Hats off to Terry, great support.

Yeah I’ve always been impressed with Terry’s support. Even with reviewing log files! Great support for a great product.

Hopefully someone can help with the OBD2 connector pins so I can get this fixed tonight for a few cheeky runs.

Not keen on resorting to shot gunning different connections.

I have checked the pins on the OBD plug and have the following flowing through to the connector:

I am keen know which of these pins to connect to the green and brown wires of the JB4.

All good. Ignore i reread above posts and figured out.
