I have purchased the new 2020 GT1 and I love it. I do have a question though. Can someone please explain to me how the sport mode works? When Im on the freeway, I switch it to sport mode? It gets up and goes but it seems like its not engaging gears on its own. Do I need to do something else as I don't want to blow engine

Sport mode does hold gears longer than the other modes... what RPM is it at?

Thanks for the reply. I’m currently at work so I’ll post some new pictures ... when using sport mode it’s ok for engine to sound like it’s holding the gears longer.. Sorry getting use to the sound

Welcome to the forum. I smile because you share my original concern.

You could red line this engine and it wouldn't blow up. Kia "torture tests" each engine for 300 hours, stopping only to replace oil; then for another ten to twenty hours they push past the red line just to make sure the engine is good to go.

When I push the car hard it will hold that gear for a few seconds asking for more! Haha. Welcome to the hive and that gas pedal is addicting. I usually shift my own gears when I push it hard though. What color is your car and we would love to see some pictures of it!
