I have been signed up to the forum for awhile but have never posted.

Anyways my car got rear-ended and I am thinking selling it.
It says I can't post on the classifieds.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to be able to post there?

Honestly its nothing you can do now. You have to have more posts/responses on the forum to not be under "new member". I'd say best bet is facebook groups or smth like that.

Welcome aboard. It's a shame you never found your way here until after your Stinger was out of commission. In any event, good luck with the sale.

I’m buying another one of course.
So, I will be staying around.
I have read quite a bit here, now I will start being more active.
As, I have a terminal case of stingeritis.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Kinda glad to hear you have Stingeritis. :) It's contagious but mostly harmless...

did your insurance total it? if not, and there is not any internal structural damage, fix it and keep loving it. I did.

What kind of damage did you have, and where?

Did you fix it yourself? Or have a shop do it?

They are not saying it is totaled yet. I think they are trying to jerk me around. The rear section on the drivers side is toast. Also the next section is accordioned up as well. I was wanting it totaled so I can get an un-wrecked one.

The car has significant frame damage, left side tailpipe and muffler, and some other cosmetic damage as well.

I am still trying to figure out how I want to proceed with this. The main reason they say the car isn't totaled is that the value is still so high $30,000. If any of the remaining parts of the frame/unibody have to be pulled then that makes me want a different car.

The insurance and I do not see eye to eye on this...

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken most insurance companies are writing off cars with even small fixable damage because parts are almost impossible to obtain within a reasonable amount of time....but I guess it depends on your insurer.
If the damage is as bad as you say I'm sure it will be written off.
