Hello Stinger fam, I was lucky enough to get into a Tribute after 5 years of longing for one of these cars. I bought my wife a Sorento in 2018 and drove the debut stinger at that time, but the timing wasnt right for me to purchase a sports sedan.

Flash fwd to now, and the discontinuation of the model made it the right time. I searched high and low and was able to secure the last available factory new Tribute in Canada, #470. It was delivered 2 days ago...

Anyways, I love this car and want to do some mods to it... wo dering what the famunity recommends that wont compromise any warranty. Would be having the dealership to do any technical installation FYI. Also wouldnt want to change anything that *could devalue it for future buyer.

Love to hear your thoughts.

Hey @JTT,

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on your Tribute!

As far as your factory warranty goes, nothing on our website voids the warranty.

We actually dove deep into this topic when opening our website.

If you would like to read it, the link can be: (FOUND HERE).

Some of the "must-haves" with the Stinger would be, Oil Catch Cans, Brakes, and Intakes!

I recently saw one of these in the same color receiving the V2 Front Lip and V3 Diffuser from ADRO and it looked pretty sweet.

Let me know if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to help.

fun intro. my neighbor has tribute no. 566. I kid him that he missed being 'the beast' by exactly 100. his is matte silver too.

having the dealership do all of your mods should insure you against warranty violations, and resale value shouldn't suffer either.

As soon as I got my 2022 GT Elite, the first things I did were Eibach anti-roll bars (front & rear), ATQ sub-frame bolt collars, aftermarket brake pads (Powerstop Z26), oil catch can and Xpel PPF on the front clip (including headlights), A pillars, mirrors, door handle cups, door sills (all 4) and back bumper under the hatch.

The headlights were adjusted up, as they were aimed ridiculously low from the factory and I installed the rear hatch kit to stop the rear hatch rattle. We also did a wheel alignment (turns out it was off from the factory).

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us. What did the Stinger replace for you?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Front and rear sway bars are a great upgrade as mentioned... some dealers offer it for sale as well (Eibach)

A dealer may warranty something they fit like tinted glass and a towbar but any major mechanical mods won't be warrantied by a dealer or fitted. Warranty is passed on to the factory and if the factory says no the dealer does not get paid. The factory only warrants what it supplies.

If you modify a car and try and force it back through a dealer on resale you are going to be in a world of pain. They are going to devalue it to the amount you spent on it plus what needs to be spent to get it back to original.

So keep those exhausts, wheels, and anything you rip off it to make it "better" for when you come to sell it

Nothing wrong with customising to your liking but as a buyer......I would be looking for original.

Keep the kms/miles low. I drive 20kms a day maximum (12 miles)
