Had one of our development Stingers on the dyno for one last session before we pull the turbos off and decided to take a run at the stock turbo dyno record just for entertainment. Took around 24psi and 19 degrees of timing to get there. We're still on the factory headbolts and we noticed coolant pressure creeping up to around 25psi (aux1 in log), so the heads may be starting to lift a bit at this power level. Car was on E75 fuel, dyno room temps in the mid 80s, car has all our various mods. Full details will be in our next Stinger video!

545hp / 654lbs-ft is wild (I assume those are engine, not wheel). Have you guys explored anything around porting the restrictive manifold-housing, or venting via wastegate?

Seems like pairing that with upgraded/hybrid CHRAs (like the TK700 kit) would have good top end results without sacrificing spool.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Wow so the stock transmission could handle this amount of power?

Yikes - that is amazing - could embarrass some unsuspecting hot rods with those numbers. The test Stinger looked a lot better with the wheels that were on it in the first video of this Stingers journey to 800HP lol. But hey HP is the name of the esthetics don't matter.

Yes but with the larger turbo its a concern, so we're also working on a trans build, for the next video. :)

Just watched the video, so it's actually 545hp/655tq at the wheels? So something like 625-650hp and 750tq at the crank? And even those might be conservative considering it's AWD...

Maybe but they are also around 50# heavier all around. Need to save rotating weight where we can if we plan to set records. :)

We did the dyno testing in RWD mode and kept torque lower to try to save the factory headbolts.

Still impressive numbers. Is doing head bolts/studs in the car feasible? I'm guessing that pulling the heads in the car isn't less work than just pulling the engine, but wondering if the one-by-one stud method is possible.

Yes there is a process for doing the studs one at a time, we're going to have KJT who offers that service give it a shot shortly!

How about we address the elephant in the room first...

Do you really expect people to believe these Powaaahh figures were made thru the restrictive exh manifold that comes bolted to this 3.3L engine from factory?

Because if that is what you are selling / claiming/ expecting people with half a brain and just a little bit of mechanical aptitude to believe, i am calling you delusional.

You got us! Reports like ours and similar from other cars are all part of one big giant AI-fueled conspiracy theory on behalf of Kia to help sell more stock exhaust manifold based turbos.

Ha I thought so...
