New Stinger upgrades

I've recently purchased a new 2020 Stinger Gt and I'm interested in getting a chip tuner. And I read somewhere my stock spark plugs should be regapped or replaced. Any advice? I've never owned a turbo charged car. I'm flying blind.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Stinger GT! Check this out: JB4

Welcome to the forums and enjoy the Stinger!

Yeah, the stock plugs would have issues with either JB4 or racechip. Many people have swapped out or regapped their own spark plugs here on the forum including myself. It is a little more difficult than some cars I have done it on.

Spark Plug change tips

This link has everything you need to do it yourself. Just read up and get to it. I can also vouch for the JB4. Easy install, great power gains and superb support!

I do well "flying blind", since I don't work on my car. :P But I appreciate that you are different: actually, more alike with the majority of posters/participants here. You're in good company. Welcome to the forum.

Update, rebadged my Stinger today. The badges I bought from this site worked great. Easy installation. I don't know if it is because the car is so new, but I had no problems removing the hood badge. No heat applied at all. Painters tape around the edges, plastic scraper, less than 5 minutes. I'll be ordering my steering wheel badge next. Thanks Sal.

I noticed that you had commented on a thread about battery drain. I bought my car on a Saturday, and the next morning it wouldn't start. I've had it about 5 weeks and if I sit in the car without the engine running for more than 2 minutes (trying to figure out some of the settings and options etc.) I get a notice on the dash about the battery. Should I take it to the dealer for a new battery?

That warning is a standard thing. If you've had no other starting issues then the battery should be ok. It could however be worthwhile to get it checked.

Thanks! I haven't had any issues since, but the warning threw me off. How else would a normal person interpret that? Your battery is low is what I assumed.

take it in for the dealer to look at. Whenever I buy a new car, I complain about EVERYTHING I see to the dealership. Sometimes they fix, sometimes they say its ok. Either way, a record of you doing your due diligence

Thanks. I see the Maple Leaf flying. My mother was born and raised in NFLD. I lived there for a year when I was 11. I consider myself a fellow Canadian. Thanks again for the welcome!

Yes bye! You wants to blear all problems till narn left!

With the engine off, my battery warning lasts closer to five minutes before shutting everything down. So, your battery might be a bit soft, and still work okay. Like @ShannonC said, might as well let the dealer know you are concerned. It won't cost anything.

Has anybody got advice on who to change your plugs and install your JB4? I don't really want to do it myself and of course KIA won't do it. ?

Welcome to the forum and congrats James. No info for you here I'm afraid, my Stinger is pretty well stock other than the bi-modal exhaust.

I'm pretty sure that is just a warning to advise you your battery will drain with the accessories on and engine off. Has come on pretty much from day one of my Stinger ownership. I'm sure it is nothing to worry about.

I can't quote it word for word but whenever I've seen it that's how I interpreted it. It's not saying you have a problem it's just telling you you're draining the battery and you could have issues if you do this for a long time.
