Hello all. My name is Jay. As the title to my thread states, I'm a new Stinger owner. I purchased a black Stinger GT2 Scorpion Edition about a month ago. When the Stinger made its debut, I was in love with it, I just couldn't afford it at the time. Fast forward to now. I'm a little better financially, so I pulled the trigger. I absolutely love the car, the exterior styling, the interior amenities, the speed and power. I'm kind of a stickler when it comes to having a clean car. With that being said, buying it in black is going to drive me nuts. I will nit pick absolutely everything I see and I know it's going to drive me crazy. Skimming through the forums gives me ideas of what I may want to do with mine. As for now, I'm just enjoying it.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :) When you’re ready, check out the forum store and vendor section for all sorts of mod ideas.

Howdy and good luck keeping her clean. I wash my Silky Silver weekly and touchup throughout the week, and that's a color that doesn't show every teensy ant track, hah (or swirl either). I think that I could handle Black, but I would definitely be using the microfiber and spray bottle a lot more than I already do. :P

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Congrats! What year did you purchase (new or used)? Black will be hard to keep clean, but look oh so good when it is.

Welcome to the forum.

For sure get a good ceramic coating on that dark paint.

Well, I pulled the trigger. I went ahead with the ceramic coating. I hope it's a going to be a little easier to keep it clean. My Stinger.webp

I purchased it brand new. I went to the local KIA dealer after a search online for Stingers in the area. They mentioned they had two in stock, one of them literally just arrived. I headed over and the newly arrived Stinger happened to be a black Scorpion edition, which I eventually purchased.

I think you will find it much easier to keep clean. What coating did you get? Do you hand wash your car, or car washes.
I went with Ceramic Pro. I definitely hand wash it. It's pretty gratifying to watch the water just bead off. Haha.

I use Gyeon ceramic quick detailer as a drying aid, it leaves it super slick (and it's not expensive)

She looks fantastic. Ceramic coating is the way to go especially with dark colors. Enjoy your new ride!!

Car looks great! Washing is soo much easier with the ceramic coating.
If you dont have much of any bug splats you almost dont even have to use a rag/spounge, just water/soap to clean.
I have a little soap dispenser for regular hose supply water (not foam cannon for pressure washer), and it does a pretty good job of covering the car in suds. I use chemical guys pink soap
