Well, I've been lurking and reading various things here and there for a while. Decided to finally create a profile and get things sorted. Never really had a Stinger on the shortlist of cars, but the wife and I really enjoy the Kia brand, and what they're doing for the automotive industry. We have a Sorento as the family car and have enjoyed it.
So how did I get here? I had an order in for a Caddy CT4-V Blackwing, but it is taking way too long and I've all but given up. My current car was an Infiniti Q60S, and it's just not been a fun car for me at all. I mean no offense to anyone who may have one, I literally have been a Datsun/Nissan/Infiniti fanboy for a long time and have owned 2 Infiniti's so far. It just isn't an enjoyable ride to me. Too much "luxury", not enough Sport. That said, I'm also on the list for a C8, but I'm not getting one for at least a year and can't drive the Infiniti around for that long. Soooo, long story somewhat shorter, started looking around for "fun" cars in the $50k range to tide me over, and just so happened to find a local-ish '22 Stinger GT2. Already came with tint, and price was right after negotiations. Color combo is Snow White Pearl / Red Nappa. Joe Myers Kia is the dealership, in Houston, in case folks are interested. Had a good experience, but also wasn't really going in with any sort of expectations. Just wanted the car haha, which they provided to me.
I went and picked it up yesterday and drove it home. It's pretty quick from the factory, but I am pretty sure I'll be digging through the forums for all the great info on available bolt-ons and tunes before too long. Not sure how long I'll keep the car, but in my first 24 hours, I'm really loving it and I can see why so many people are passionate about it!
