I'm going to purchase new pads in the next couple of days. It's between the EBC RedStuff and the K8SS. The K8SS are just a little over half the cost of the EBCs and the customer ratings are equal, people are happy with both.

Question: are the EBCs worth almost twice the price? I'm retired now so if I don't have to spend almost double for equal performance, I'll go with the less expensive option.

TIA for your recommendations.

What did you end up going with and how do you like them?

I purchased the EBC Red Stuff. I didn't hear any responses for/against either, so I decided not to skimp on my baby. So far so good. I had to replace the rotors as well though. I was told that rotors are so thin nowadays for weight savings that they can't be turned. Fortunately Tire Rack had the Brembo rotors in stock so the repair was not delayed. I'm taking it easy on the braking for about 500 miles but so far I've felt no pulsing.

No odd noises like squeal or clinking? Were the rotors you bought the OEM rotors

I just ordered the EBC Red Stuff pads and DBA Rotors to replace my front yesterday; hopefully they perform as well as reviewed, anything to get rid of the vibration when stopping.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

The only way to know if the rotors can be turned or not is to measure the thickness. That will tell you how much "meat" is left on them for resurfacing. Unless the rotor is heavily grooved, a good clean used rotor doesn't need much material removal to get down to a flat smooth square surface.

Your should have had enough thickness for at least 1 turning at first pad change.
