• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hello all!

So finally after sitting in a Kia Stinger in 2017 at a launch event, I have finally been in a position to own one.

Found a perfect 2021 facelift model with only 10900 on the clock in the colour I’ve always wanted. Couldn’t be happier.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I’m glad you found us! Congratulations on your new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you?

It’s replaced a Volvo V70…I’ve had 40 cars in my driving life, but this one is the one I always wanted

Well that's a lot of cars but the Stinger is a nice upgrade to the Volvo V70. You have the versatility of the hatch and all the luxury that goes with Kia's nicest car. :)

I can’t wait to enjoy it! It’s the car I’ve always wanted

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I was the same back in 2018 when they came out. Wanted one then and there.
Finally pulled the plug a year ago when they announced the end of production. I bought new.
I'm enjoying it more now than ever. It's been a nice summer here (Ottawa, Canada), and I've had more opportunities to take it out and cruise the neighbourhood, looking for trouble...lol.
It gets a ton of looks and attention. Also, there are so few of them around, so it's definitely an outlier, which makes it even more enjoyable.
I rarely see another one.
My neighbours in the area now know that I have one, and many of them have come around to ask about it.
I took it to the dealer for it's first oil change a few weeks ago, and the sales guy asked if I was interested in selling it back to them. Ah, no.
I only have 2,600 KMS on it, so it still feels like new. It still has the new car smell.

Good work! A lot of people I know dismiss the stinger but have no real idea what it is capable of. This stinger is a keeper and I’m going to drive it and enjoy every mile of it!

Is it registered as a 2021 or 2022? I thought all facelift models were 22 & 23 only.

SAME! I was weary of the brand, only knew they built boring eco-boxes. $50k for a Kia sounded ridiculous until I sat in one... once the seat shifts you forward and the steering wheel advances into position, and that HUD pops up, I was gleaming :D.

Now I'm enjoying 4 hour drives through the BC mountains and valleys as often as I can. It really spoils you sometimes, I feel like a brat turning the seat cooling down a notch while its 40c out.

Then two weeks ago I'm waiting on an oil change, salesman was dead set on getting first dibs if I ever sell it... but what would I drive away with?
I tried the EV6, no grunt, no soul, and the top trim loses the vented seats... miss me with that.

Good work! A lot of people I know dismiss the stinger but have no real idea what it is capable of.
I traded a ride with the driver of a 718 spyder at the track, it put a smile on his face and only 10 seconds off his time! (it's a small track ;))

OP is from the UK. Other world regions get MY updates ahead of North America.

I tried the EV6
Saw one yesterday, driving with my wife, she wanted to know what it was, and I told her. But I could not tell her what the "6" signified in the name. Anybody want to enlighten us?

More electrons than the EV4 & EV5, fewer than the EV9.

Welcome!

Digging the color...but I am biased.

I may use that.
Your sarcasm made me research, which I was hoping to avoid by getting a straight answer.
EV4, concept car.
EV5 SUV that actually came out after the EV6, but isn't for the US market.
EV7 supposedly a smaller version of the EV9, which is a '24 MY offering, the second EV sold in the US after the EV6 - the EV7 was slated for US production starting in April last year. Where is it?
EV8 is the Stinger replacement, cancelled unless or until the demand for EVs improves.
There are evidently 14 models in KIA's EV lineup, all supposed to be released by 2027.

It really is a shame that model numbers meant from meaningful real-world values like displacement (350Z, G37, SL500, S600, LX570) to arbitrary "more better" scores with the turbo/downsize trend (C300 with a 2.0T).

Cadillac's 350/450T badges, for "torque, but in Newton-meters, rounded up to the nearest 50" might be the worst of both worlds, since it actually means something but so convoluted no one can take any meaning from it.

Welcome from a fellow Brit, we're few and far between on these pages. I'm a 21 plate as well although in Ceramic Grey.
