Hello!

I just bought my Stinger (2018 GT1) on Monday. I plan on doing slight modifications, likely mostly cosmetic as I'll eventually be getting a project car to play with and this is my daily driver, so nothing extreme will be happening to it. I love it though! It's easily the fastest car I've ever personally owned and it's so fun to drive!

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your new Stinger GT! What did the Stinger replace for you?

For modifications, check out the forum store. There's all sorts of interesting things available at KDM Warehouse. :)

A 2018 Mazda 3.

It was a little emotional, not gonna lie lol. The 3 was the first car I ever bought new and it still had under 30k miles on it lol. I'm still getting used to not having a lot of the features I had on the 3, but it's easy to forget those when I step on the gas in the Stinger lol

Yeah, that's a well-loved vehicle, the Mazda 3. What features did it have that your Stinger doesn't? And, yes, the Stinger GT is a pretty darn powerful vehicle. :D

Pretty much most of the stuff that's on the GT2 lol. HUD, Blind Spot Detection, Radar Cruise, a back window that you can actually see out of lol.
Honestly the hardest thing to get used to is not having the little knob right under the shifter in easy reach to control everything is probably the hardest thing to get used to. When I first got the 3 I thought it was dumb they turned off the touch screen when you moved, but now it makes perfect sense. I didn't have to reach or look to do almost anything. I could concentrate on driving and switch between nav/Spotify, switch songs, etc. That whole system really is fantastic.
I'm sure I'll eventually get better with the controls of the stinger, but the touch screen I'll always have to see what I'm doing.

Ahh, it seems you had a fully loaded Mazda 3. Yeah, those are pretty nice features. But they tend to be easy to forget when you're heavy on the gas pedal. At the sanctioned race track, of course. :) And, yes, you'll get used to the difference with controls pretty quickly...

A warm welcome, BrownBob! We have the same GT1 and in pearl white. Mine is a 2020. A great group here. Very helpful and enthusiastic.
