Hi everyone,

Just purchased a 2018 CRDi GT S Line in ceramic silver with Black interior and 63000 miles. Based in SE England.

I was an examining engineer with a very large UK motoring organisation for 20 years before retiring and have had a company vehicle for all those years. This car is my first personal vehicle since I sold my Porsche 944 15 years ago so it was a big decision to find something to be buried in many years from now!!
The information and opinions that I read about on this resource certainly helped in my decision plus the extended family have 2 x Venga, Soul, Rio, and a Sportage all of which I advised them to purchase as during my work I very rarely found a Kia that was mechanically poor and all were sound despite some high mileages.
Thus far only done 100 miles of mixed driving but so far perfectly nippy enough, very well equipped, comfortable and averaging 44 mpg.
Will no doubt be asking for advise as my relationship develops.

Regards

Stefan

Hi Merlin the Mad,

I wasn't even trying to achieve good consumption figures but being a diesel with around 200 bhp and plenty torque it just is always in the sweet spot of 1800 to 3500 rpm.
Thr 44 mpg was achieved in a 50/50 mix of urban and motorway cruising over 100 miles distance covered and included some "spirited" driving in Sports + as well as cruising at 70 mph in Smart mode using the adaptive cruise.
When I do my first long run am fully expecting to get around 50 mpg.

Thanks to everyone who welcomed me to the hive but please bear with me if my forum protocol is not the norm as I am an old f**t who takes time to understand the technology.

Stefan
