New to the Stinger family, ‘19 GT Aurora black. Everyone I have shown the new beast are shocked (more like impressed). Common question, this is a Kia and you paid what?Working on the rims and snows for the upcoming winter apocalypse here in YOW. Will post the rims I end up with, I know those who want to go 18s from the stock 19s are curious as to what works over those Brembos. Looking forward to seeing what damage I can do to my wallet .

Cheers

I just bought the Fast FC04 rims in black sold by Kia from the dealer (they have a parts catalog at the dealer for items like this). They came with the rims, specific bolts, the socket for the bolts, TPMS sensors, and spacers for the rims. They are 18" rims and the dealer said they will fit over the Brembos. The price is nearly identical to what you can get them for online. Was about a $1000 CDN. Need to get tires now.

Ordered the tires, Bridgestone WS90 Costco online they have a 70$ gift card and penny install right now (saves you about $80 more bucks). Rims I’m thinking the Fast Wheels Switch (suppose to fit over the Brembos) as they are hub centric, I know not a huge deal but, I do prefer that vs lug Centric.

Howdy. Welcome to the forum. I hope to not ditch my summer tires till December. We'll see how well that works out. :P

Congrats, and welcome! You wouldn't happen to be in the Orleans area, by any chance? Was driving around that area earlier tonight, and saw a fellow black stinger that I haven't seen before. Was super stoked to see it - don't see other stingers on the road very often here.

Not me sorry...Riverside south, although I did see another black on Hunt Club.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you?

No replacement just another car, 17 year old son is driving now so, we needed a third. Likes the Stinger since the first time I saw it, test drove a bunch of cars and the Stinger was the clear winner !

Welcome!! congratulations on your stinger!.....got the 18 GT Aurora black, out in Kanata

Hey CanuckDan,

Welcome the forum and congrats on your new 2019 Aura Black Stinger GT. Glad to hear you are showing off the new car already and getting great feedback. We carry a variety of aftermarket wheel options at our shop the K8 Stinger Store (www.k8stingerstore.com). You can take a look at the options available by clicking the link provided HERE. If you have any other questions about your vehicle please reach out and I would be happy to hook you up with a new stingerforum member discount as well. I hope you have been enjoying the community so far and continue to look for ways to make the stinger your own.

Does anyone else have an issue when it rains or after you wash the car, the inside door and trunk jams are covered in water and dirt #frustrating!

Water, yes, dirt no. I don't let my car go long enough between washes to collect dirt. Every time I wash my car the door sills and edges of the doors (and hatch) get wiped down too. A quick pass with a towel soaked in hot water followed by microfiber drying towel: literally takes c. twenty seconds per door.

Yes they get very dirty but as Merlin said it only takes a few seconds to clean. First world problem I suppose.

Sorry for complaining (even though I am) more a comment on design, never had a car that you had to wipe them down after it rains.
For sure they get wiped down after a wash.

Anyone know how to turn the inside luggage area lights off when the hatch is open ?
