Thanks for having this forum guys as I am a new Stinger owner as I bought a 3.3 last week. I love the car so far and I have wanted one for ages but it was always outside of my affordability. I am a complete petrolhead having owned lots of cars, TVR Tuscan S, BMW M3 E46, BMW M5, six, yes six Peugeot 406 coupes, pug 407 coupe and many others.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! Especially considering you're passion for cars. Congratulations on your new Stinger! How does it compare to some of your previous favorites?

I'll be brutally honest here. The Stinger outperforms the E46 M3 but it would not beat the M5 even though the M5 is a lot heavier. It would also not beat the TVR as that was made of plastic and so light but oh so powerful. However the TVR was a dead man walking as it wanted to kill you every time that you tapped the accelerator pedal. The 406 coupes, well there is no real comparison as you guys did not have them in the States, I owned the last yellow 3.0 V6 in the UK, it was only 206 bhp, but I loved that car. Sadly the repair costs became too much and I sent it to banana heaven. Thank you for the welcome and your message.

The TVR is quite a unique automobile! Definitely an enthusiast car. And, yes, the M5 is hard to beat. And the E46 M3 was something special. That's one I've driven in the past. I wish I could have owned one when they were still new. Everything is getting difficult to maintain these days with so much technology being in vehicles. It's still odd to me how a Kia fits in so well with such impressive company.

Different animals to be fair but would I take an M5 over the Stinger, the answer is no, not even if it was a brand new old M5 straight off of the production line.A new M3 competition, then that is a different cat in itself.

That says a lot for the Stinger! Pretty amazing... What type of mods have you done to the cars? And what do you have planned for the Stinger?

The stinger will remain standard at the moment, but I have been toying with the idea of a remap to get it to 400hp. Who knows what I will do as my wife says that I am insanity defined! The only mod that I have looked into is the remap, I do not even know what other mods are available.

There are a bunch of things available. Intakes, tune (as you know), suspension upgrades, etc. But the car is pretty darn nice as it is...

It is great as it is. Do i really need more power, well no but do I want more power, that is the question! I had a look at your shop and thought about buying a new bonnet badge but the postage would probably make it a no go to the UK, then import duty.

Yes, I stopped using USPS for shipments to the UK because it wasn't very reliable. However, there IS another option where postage would be inexpensive. I'm not certain what duty fees would be, but for a badge, it can't be much. Let me know which emblem you like and I'll get you situated.
