Howdy. Las Vegas, over half way to LA. That's how I've looked at it for decades. Las Vegas is the equivalent of "fly over country" to me: gas up in Cedar city, UT; and again in Baker, CA. Drive straight through from SLC, UT.

You could put that in your location, for the rest of us.
