New member - what are the essential adds?

Mud-flaps, like rokblokz, to help keep rocks and road spray from spraying behind the tires. Side-skirts help with this too. Front-end protection against rocks, clear-bra for bumper and hood at minimum, tinted windows, decent grippy tires (but wait if you are going to get new wheels), then I'd start looking at suspension and engine-type stuff. These cars are pretty floaty, especially without the adaptive shocks, so the eibach sways make a big difference here, and the don't turn the ride into a jackhammer like some sways do.

Welcome to the forum and congrats. Only mod I have is the bimodal exhaust that I love.

Highly recommend sway bars and ppf to start

New Stinger owner . Looking for recommendations on the essential mods for my Stinger. So far I’ve got the Mando ECS10, JB4, and some RWD H&R springs on my list. What do you guys think?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
+1 for the Sway bars, and PPF reco, and I would do a ceramic coating

Howdy and welcome. The only mod I have is Eibach sway bars; they help with cornering, steering feedback and button body movement down.

Lots of people talk of putting wraps or protective coating on their Stingers. Is this just for extra protection... or should I be worried about paint quality?

Extra Protection, the paint is as good, or better than many german brands

Hey Skitchbandit,

Welcome to the Stinger Forum and congrats on your new Kia.

As far as essentials go, I would recommend you get an Oil Catch Can first (Click HERE).

We carry everything you could need and more on our website at www.K8StingerStore.com.

Please reach out if you have any questions, need suggestions, or a discount on your order!

Enjoy the new ride,
Daniel @ the K8 Stinger Store

For me, getting all weather floor mats and trunk liner was first. Covered the usually expensive and impossible to fix headlamps in xPel to avoid chips/cracks, hopefully. Covering the whole front would be nice but it's expensive and doesn't add much to the resale (speaking from experience). The hatch lid will sometimes rattle, but you'll know fairly quick if that's an issue for you. Search the forum for various solutions. Eventually I wanted better speakers and replaced all but the subs under the seats.

From a performance perspective, the car handles fairly well for most daily driving measures from the factory and is obviously real quick. Unless you have specific performance targets in mind, there's isn't anything 'essential' needed for performance/handling.

Thank you everyone for your comments and advice! I’ve been wanting this car for awhile so very happy to be a part of the community. I think the PPF, ceramic coating and some weather tech floor mats are first up. Gotta keep the ride looking good . Then maybe some sway bars and springs and who know from there. Thx everyone for the input.

Replaced an old Chrysler 300c hemi. Loved that car but the stinger is so much better in so many ways!
