So i got a set of wheels and went to put them on today, realized the factory lug nuts wont even fit in the hole on the new wheels. I believe the lug nuts are 12x1.25, these new wheels i think will take a conical lug nut. Any one have a recommendation for a set?

The thread size of 12x1.25 mm is used commonly only on Nissan and Subaru vehicles. Hyundai-KIA is Mitsubishi-based in the very beginning, so there are adopted things like the wheel pilot bore size (67 mm) are carried over including the lug nut thread size of 12x1.5 mm.

Your new wheels may need spline-drive lug nuts. These are very slim in construction and they come with a specific socket. They can be easily obtained at a tire store such as Discount Tire. If these wheels were purchased new, try the vendor as it might be an oversight.

Thanks, guys. Yeah i talked to the vendor and they also recommended spline drive nuts. they dont sell lug nuts with there wheels. Last set of wheels i bought for a different car used the same from the factory, but that was a european car so it had the removable studs. i just picked up some from autozone today. I hope they work.
