• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Hi all I'm looking to buy a stinger in Melbourne and found a nice new black red leather with exhaust. I wanted to know any things to look out for or any dealers that are doing good deals. I'm coming from BMW 1M coupe and Audi RS3 territory. But looking for a "family" car with balls.

Any advice or things to note as issues owners have had it's great to know what to watch out for etc. Looking forward to joining the stinger crew.

Regards

Welcome, not to much to worry about . Just take out for a test drive and pay attention to any rattles or squeaks. If there are noises from the sunroof stay clear as some have had issues here. Apart from that most have had trouble free driving.

A few have had a few break issues with pad deposits but not so much here in Oz I think we may have different pads. Just check the paint thoroughly for any imperfections.

Welcome @Maze to our stingerforum, Stinger looks awesome in any of the colour combinations, and Aurora Black with Red Nappa Leather will look so nice, good luck with finding one and look forward too see some photos of it, and if your interested, maybe even attend a Stinger Drive Day or Coffee and Cars type meet one day here in Melbourne.
May I ask where in Melbourne you live ?

If you like it and price is right then don't hesitate. Consider PPF (but not the Kia pack as it doesn't cover much of the front) and also ceramic coating...best to go non-dealer, or DIY for a fraction of the cost.
Don't be over concerned about slight rattles as they may come and go and can be easily rectified. Mechanical it's a great car and a pleasure to drive with more features than the 1M.

Definately getting ceramic done by my mate Anthony at Bon Vivant and he will check paint for sure.

I live in Brunswick so always keen for a drive day.

Definately will watch the brakes and for squeaks as that was the only things I really heard or read so thanks all. Does anyone have the exhaust fitted from kia? The one I'm looking at in Berwick is brand new with exhaust etc. Will take it for a test drive for sure.

Thanks again everyone for your help if you know any dealers that are good to talk to let me know as I'm in no rush as this will be a long time car this time round

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
@Maze I have the Kia approved bi-modal and am totally happy with it. It's quite when it has to be and loud when needed depending on drive mode plus you get the full Kia warranty. There's a thread in the Aussie discussion section with a lot of information. I don't know of anyone that has it that doesn't like it. And, no drone.
If it's already fitted to the vehicle that could be a bargaining point as not every potential buyer wants a louder than stock exhaust.
And another thing, check the build date (sticker under the bonnet) to make sure it's not too old (say no more than 3 months).....think resale value.

Welcome Maze. A family car with balls is a good description of the Stinger but it is also so much more. Don't hesitate.

Howdy and welcome to the forum. These guys have covered the "warning Will Robinson!" stuff.
